The Silly Season Week: Lawrence Brothers Edge Towards Fresh Honda HRC Terms

Listen · five minutes
Also available as a podcast feed.

The Pulpmx Show reports that Hunter and Jett Lawrence are close to new deals with Honda HRC. We grade that an A. Nothing is signed in public yet, but a claim of that weight from that source is the loudest thing on the board this week.

Triumph did the confirming. The brand's first official factory entry into MXGP arrives in 2027, and Gatedrop has Guillem Farres stepping up on the TF 450-X on a three-year agreement. VitalMX adds Jago Geerts to the same class on a three-year deal, with Mikkel Haarup returning to the marque and Camden McLellan staying in MX2.

That also kills a story. VitalMX states plainly that reports of Geerts heading to Kawasaki were wrong.

Staying with Kawasaki, VitalMX carries an A grade claim that Romain Febvre is leaving. No destination attached.

Elsewhere in the paddock, Gatedrop confirms Calvin Vlaanderen to Honda SR Motoblouz for 2027, Ale Gaspari renewing with Young Motion powered by Resa in MX2, Jack Ellingham to Meuwissen Motorsports and Byron Dennis on a fill-in ride with Cat Moto Bauerschmidt KTM. Gatedrop also states Cooper Webb has ridden his last Supercross race with Star Racing Yamaha.

Zach Osborne is the week's oddest thread. Pulpmx has him out of retirement for the final three Pro Motocross rounds on the Beta, starting at Unadilla, graded A. Racer X podcasts then carry Benny Bloss suggesting the 16 could go straight back into retirement afterwards, also an A.

Pulpmx reports Justin Hill and Colt Nichols racing again with Leatt association, and Hill expecting to win races in 2027. The same source keeps Levi Kitchen in the 250 class, arguing he was good enough to take the seat that opened last year.

The denials came thick. Pulpmx knocks down Lata to Star Racing, a Ken Roczen outdoor return this season, and any American call for Jorge Zaragoza off his WSX ride. Malcolm Stewart to Pipes Motorsport Group did not happen, and his outdoor programme ends Kitchen's summer 2027 route to the Kawasaki 450 team.

Forty-four new claims, thirteen confirmations, seven denials, forty-seven rumours live.

Next week: paper on the Lawrences, and where Febvre lands.
